Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 June 2026

1. General Provisions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at meetcanada.net (the "Site"), operated by MeetCanada ("MeetCanada", "we", "us" or "our"), an independent guided-tour discovery and comparison platform based in Victoria, British Columbia. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which together describe how we handle information collected through the Site.

2. Definitions

3. Scope of the Services

MeetCanada is an independent discovery and comparison platform. We curate and present information about guided tour experiences offered by licensed Operators across Canada, including Vancouver Island, the Canadian Rockies, Montreal and Quebec City, Ottawa, the Maritimes, Winnipeg and the Arctic territories. Our Services allow you to browse listings, read verified traveler reviews, compare itineraries, prices, durations, activity levels and cancellation policies side by side, filter experiences using our comparison tool, read planning resources, subscribe to our newsletter and contact us with trip-planning questions.

What the Site does not do. MeetCanada is not a travel agency, tour operator or booking engine. We do not sell tours, process payments, issue tickets, or enter into travel contracts with you. When you decide to book, you leave the Site and transact directly with a licensed Operator on its own website, subject to that Operator's terms, pricing and cancellation rules. All prices, availability and itinerary details shown on the Site are provided for educational and planning purposes only and may change at any time without notice.

4. User Obligations

By using the Site, you agree to:

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site for any User who breaches these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, editorial reviews, comparison data, layout, design, graphics, the MeetCanada name and logo — is owned by MeetCanada or used under licence and is protected by the Canadian Copyright Act and applicable trademark law. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial planning use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify or create derivative works from any part of the Site without our prior written consent. Photographs and trademarks belonging to Operators or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

6. Affiliate Disclosure

MeetCanada is an affiliate publisher. We may earn commissions from featured Operators when you click through to their websites and complete a booking. These affiliate relationships may influence which listings appear and how prominently they are placed, but they never influence our editorial opinions, our traveler reviews, or our safety advisories. We present this disclosure transparently so you can make informed decisions. Earning a commission does not increase the price you pay an Operator.

7. Privacy and Personal Information

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation. By submitting a form, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to keep listings, prices and itinerary information accurate and up to date, MeetCanada makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability or availability of any information presented. Prices shown in CAD are indicative only and do not constitute guaranteed pricing or availability. You should always confirm all booking details, prices, cancellation terms, accessibility provisions and safety requirements directly with the relevant Operator before making any commitment.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MeetCanada shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, your reliance on any information presented, or any transaction you enter into with an Operator. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation of the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including those of licensed Operators and external resources such as Google Fonts. These links are provided for your convenience. MeetCanada does not control and is not responsible for the content, products, services, terms or privacy practices of any third-party website. Accessing third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

10. Force Majeure

MeetCanada shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, epidemics or pandemics, war, civil unrest, labour disputes, power or internet outages, hosting failures, or technical malfunctions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site and updating the "Last updated" date above. Material changes take effect when published. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Victoria, British Columbia, subject to any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection legislation.
